Introduction
You are a
member of a team of scientists exploring the many habitats of the world
looking for animals and documenting the many characteristics these animals
share with the habitats in which they live in.

The Task
As the
team's lead scientist, your job is to explore all five habitats and the
animals found there. Once you have explored all the habitats, you are to
select one animal from one of the habitats to research further.
You are then to share with your fellow scientists the data you have found.

The Process
 |
Look for facts about the animals
in each of the habitats listed below in the Resource section.
|
 |
After exploring the different
animals in the different habitats, choose one
animal from one of the habitats.
|
 |
Complete the research sheet,
Content Web for Animals and Their Habitats. Teacher note: This Word
formatted sheet can downloaded and printed out here:
Content Web
for Animals and Their Habitats.
|
 |
After completion of your research share
with the rest of the exploration team your facts and findings.

Evaluation
The
Exploration Team Leader (your teacher) will look to see that you have:
 |
explored each of the habitats
listed.
|
 |
completed the Content Web research sheet.
|
 |
shared with your fellow scientists your
discoveries.
|

Conclusion
You have
found animals in different habitats. Did you find any animal living in
more than one habitat? Did you discover any
similarities of animals from the same habitat? How did this research help
you better understand the habitat you live in, as well as different
habitats around the world and their impact on the animals that live in
them?
