"Take Me Out to the Ballgame..."
A Baseball WebQuest

The Task

The Office of the Commissioner has handed down the following provisions  to your Provision Committee:

I.  Research, plan, and submit to their offices a state-of-the-art ballpark based on the best features of the current major league ballparks in use.

II. Research and evaluate the current talent in the major leagues and determine based on statistics from the 2001 and 2002 seasons which position players and pitchers you plan to "go after" in the upcoming expansion draft.

Your Provision Committee has determined that each of you have certain partnership responsibilities in preparing for play in the upcoming season. One of you is to assumed the duties as Director of Player Personnel and the other as Director of Baseball Operations.  Choose which job each of you will have from the two listed below. Keep in mind that like any good partnership you can, and should, work together to accomplish your partnership goals. Once jobs are assigned please check in with The Process Office for your travel itinerary.

Director of Baseball Operations - In order to determine the specifics of your new ballpark you must research the current ballparks, maybe even parks of the past, and decide how you want to structure your new state-of-the-art ballpark.

Director of Player Personnel - You have the daunting task of selecting players you hope to get during the upcoming Expansion Draft. Your scouting report will help your partners compete for these players.
