A Typical Day

     Here is a look at an ITC classroom. Notice they have two blocks of time dedicated to "Explorations". By allowing themselves reasonably large uninterrupted blocks of time, the ITC teacher can arrange their schedule to fit the activity they are focusing on.  

     On this day they are using the morning block for Novel Study, and the afternoon block for a simulation. They could have easily used either block for Centers or perhaps their technology unit, Journey Inside: The Computer.

8:30  -   8:50 Daily Journal (using PowerPoint™) - morning journal prompt
8:50  -   9:30 Specials - Art, Music, P.E.
9:30  - 10:45 Mathematics
10:45  - 12:35 Explorations - Novel Study
12:40  -   1:20 Lunch/Read-Aloud
1:20  -   2:45 Explorations - Simulations
2:40  -   2:55 Discovery Log - end of the day review and wrap-up
2:55  -   3:05 Pack and Stack -Whew!
