1.      Charge the battery pack.

1. Connect the power cord to a wall outlet.
2. Insert the battery onto the charger in the direction of the arrow.
3. Make sure the battery "clicks" in.
4. An orange light indicates that the battery is being charged.
5. Charge until the orange light goes out for a "normal charge".
6. Charge about one hour after the orange light goes out for a "full charge".

2.      Install the battery pack.

1. Open the battery cover.  The battery cover is located on the bottom of the camera.  Slide the OPEN (BATTERY) button to the right.  While holding the button to the right, push the cover toward the front of the camera.  The cover should then flip up.
2. Insert the battery pack so that the arrow is pointing toward the inside of the camera.
3. Close the cover and slide it back until it clicks.
4. To remove the battery pack, open the battery cover.  Push the BATT button to the right and the battery pack will pop up.

3.      Set the date and time.
(You will need to use the Control Button to set the time and date.  Refer to those instructions before proceeding.)

1. Slide the POWER ON/OFF button down to turn on the camera.
2. Select MENU.
3. Highlight CLOCK SET, then select.
4. Highlight the date format you wish to use, then select.
5. Highlight the month, then select.  Press the top of the Control Button to choose an earlier month; press the bottom of the Control Button to choose a later month.  Then select.  Repeat with the day, year, hour, and minute.
6. When the date and time are correct, select.  Then select ENTER.

4.      Using the Control Button.

1. The Control Button is located below the LCD screen on the right. 
2. Press the top, bottom, left, or right sides of the Control Button to highlight menu selections. 
3. To select an option once it has been highlighted, press the center of the Control Button.

5.      To record images.

1. Slide the POWER ON/OFF button down to turn on the camera.
2. Insert a floppy disk into the right side of the camera.  The "top" of the disk should be facing you, with the metal tab pointing towards the camera.
3. Slide the PLAY/CAMERA button to the right (under CAMERA).
4. Remove the lens cover.
5. Press the Shutter Button (top right of camera) halfway down.  A green dot on the LCD screen indicates that the camera is ready to record an image.
6. Press the Shutter Button fully down to record the image to disk.

6.      To playback images.

1. Slide the PLAY/CAMERA button to the left (under PLAY).  The last image recorded appears on the LCD screen.
2. On the bottom left of the LCD screen are left and right arrows.  Highlight and select these arrows to choose previous or next images.
3. Highlight and select INDEX to display "thumbnail" pictures of all images on the disk.

7.  To eject disk.

1. The DISK EJECT button is located to the bottom left of the Control Button.  Hold down the PUSH button and slide the DISK EJECT button to the left.  The disk should pop out.
